On most Sundays, one can find Aaron Davis Odom singing and leading worship in his home church in DeLand, Florida. However, since 2002, he has received invitations to sing in more than five hundred churches throughout the U.S. and has traveled as a classical tenor, concert artist, or singing missionary to over twenty different countries.
He has partnered with renowned pastors and musicians including Jerry Fallwell, Bill Gaither, David Phelps, John Hagee, Terry Blackwood, Jay Rouse, Roger Breland, Benny Hinn, The Booth Brothers, David Gibbs III, The Imperials, Marilyn Horne, and Joe Guercio.
He has also provided special music for organizations including The Southern Baptist Convention, Metropolitan New York Baptist Association, The Association of Related Churches (The ARC), Kempke Music, Greater Grace World Outreach, The Congregational Methodist Church, National Center for Life and Liberty, St. Peter’s Basilica (Vatican), The Alabama Evangelism Conference, The Mississippi Singing Churchmen, The Florida Baptist Convention, Saints Equipped to Evangelize (Italy), and Elvis Presley Enterprises.
Holding master’s degrees from Manhattan School of Music, and Liberty University, Aaron has taught adjunct voice at University of Mobile, and Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi.
With professional opera experience, Aaron has been called upon for challenging tenor roles in Easter cantatas such as Greg Nelson’s Saviour oratorio and Handel’s Messiah. Aaron has also taken on Broadway style Christmas musicals such as Two from Galilee and The Promise.
With a dynamic voice and a “high C” in his arsenal, Aaron also shines in patriotic music. Aaron has honored our country by singing The Star Spangled Banner, God Bless America, God Bless the U.S.A., and other uplifting songs for Memorial Day, Veteran’s Day, and numerous professional sporting events.
“The preacher’s kid”, Aaron grew up singing traditional hymns, southern gospel, and choral anthems. However, while studying opera from 1999-2002, Aaron also directed the music and worship for an inner city church in Brooklyn. This exposure to a myriad of different cultures within the melting pot of New York, dramatically expanded Aaron’s musical and artistic reservoir. In addition to having the ability to work with a choir, orchestra, and traditional musicians, Aaron now consummately leads contemporary worship from acoustic guitar, or electric keyboard.
Aaron has recently rekindled his love of Italian arias and Neapolitan art songs. As a contracted singer for Penguin Entertainment, Aaron can be heard singing from the balcony of Loew’s Portofino, a five star resort in Orlando. Aaron recently formed a Three Tenors trio in which they are available for concerts, Valentine’s banquets, and fundraisers.
Aaron is currently raising his twelve year old son, Ramsey, in sunny DeLand, Florida. They enjoy traveling, visiting theme parks, and spending time with their amazing extended family.
